January 22, 2012 SMTP Component 7.1 (OSSMTP) is available for download. New version fixes the issue with non-English characters in quoted-printable encoded emails.
Please note, when using .ContentTransferEncoding = "quoted-printable", the message charset is automatically reset to UTF-8
July 12, 2010 POP3 Component 3.0.4 (OSPOP3) is available for download. Component allows to retrieve and delete email messages from POP3 mailserver, check mailbox status, parse retrieved messages using programming and scripting languages supporting .NET and COM. New version adds support for secure connections (SSL/TLS).
New version supports all the methods and properties of a previous version, but is not backward-compatible, since it's based on a different technology (.NET assembly versus COM component).
Update from 3.0.1 includes fixes for retrieving large attachments, session reset and .Password property. Also, are added code examples for VB.NET, Visual Basic 6 and C#.
Within the next few weeks we will provide sample code for more programming languages and environments.
November 15, 2006 Warning. There is a new wave of emails on Internet, supposedly sent from OstroSoft. Remember - email headers are very easy to forge. Use common sense and spam filters. Configure your mailservers not to bounce invalid messages - it helps against spammers.
OstroSoft never sends emails with attachments. If you receive one - it's fake. Even worse - it's almost guaranteed to contain a virus. OstroSoft website is the only reliable place to obtain OstroSoft software.
December 11, 2005 OstroSoft Winsock Component 2.3 (oswinsck) is available for download. Component provides an easy access to the network layer of operating system (UDP and TCP sockets) and serves as a wrapper for Winsock API, helps programmers to abstract from complexity of API calls and concentrate on application functionality. New version offers improvements in blocking TCP object.
June 26, 2004 ICMP Component (OSICMP) for Visual Basic 6 is available for download.New component library allows to create custom ping and traceroute implementations
November 8, 2003 OstroSoft Internet Tools 6.2 (ostronet) is available for download. Award-winning application contains highly configurable integrated set of network and Internet information tools and utilities. Upgrade (for version 6 or later) is also available.
August 7, 2002 FormoEd 2.0 - productivity application, allowing to automate filling of repetitive electronic forms, is available for download. New version features password protection, ability to re-arrange items and groups, drag-and-drop support.
